He even did not stretch his left leg when he hit the ball and ground.
Look at the 6th second of the video plz.
Both players 'fly' to the ball, even Holden.
Yet one is injured, and the other one get a red card.
If you define Evans did a 2 foot, so did Holden then. I dont see a significant difference between what they did.
Yet the right leg of evans hit the ball, while that of Holden did not and hit the grass. And he used his lower leg to hit the ball. So wt happened? Holden used his left lower leg to hit the ball and the studs of the right shoes of Evans.
What would happen if Evans lower his studs? With such collision I guess his right ankle would be ruined, probably.
My verdict is both are reckless to make such a tackle. Evans could probably have been out 6 months in engaging such a tackle. Red card? Does a single leg stud-high tackle aimed at ball deserves that? Your say. But I cant agree.
