Manchester City's Roberto Mancini says Carlos Tevez has told him he wants to stay
After bagging a brace on Tuesday against Stoke City, his future was once again the subject of the hour, with City boss Roberto Mancini adamant that Tevez had told him he wants to stay.
But Tevez, who has been linked with a switch to Italy, told Radio Del Plata on Thursday that after two years at the club he was ready to move on.
"I want to leave Manchester City. Football has changed a lot for me and I don't know if I will even make it to the next World Cup. And that has nothing to do with whether I'm selected or not," he said.
"I've been treated very well here and I'm grateful. I also gave my everything for the club to receive the results it had, but I need a change of scene."
