Gattuso盲左?

Doctor Tavana: “Rino has a paralysis of the sixth cranial nerve. It’s not an eyesight problem. There’s no tumour, nor ictus, nor was there any trauma. We started by excluding the most important things. We kept in contact with specialists on both sides of the Atlantic. We may have to wait anywhere between 2 or 6 months to see how the situation develops. It could even get back to normal by itself. If he looks to the left, Rino gets double vision. The medical staff at the club is working with the specialists.”
Rino Gattuso: "I would like to remind everyone of Marco Simoncelli. I remember him with affection. His passing was a blow. IN the last 45 days I read all sorts of things and that’s why I’m here now. The doctor has explained the situation. It’ll take more than this to knock me down. There are much worse things in life as we saw on Sunday with Simoncelli. I’m fighting against an invisible enemy and the important thing is to look forward and not give in.I test the eye every morning when I get up and right now I’m not thinking of football, I’m thinking of everyday things. It’s hard not to be able to take my kids to school, not to tbe able to drive a car. If I take off my glasses I see double. I can physically keep on training and I am which gives me strength. Right now the important thing is get back functioning like a normal person. The club is right behind me, Whenever I do any medical tests I think of my kids who are so young. Many things go through your mind. When they excluded the tumour, I let out a sigh of relief. An operation is not recommended because you have to give these things time. Davids was a different case. He had problems in his eye, I have problems outside my eye. There’s a muscle which isn’t working. Davids had an operation at Juve and it was drained but in my case it’s a nerve that moves a muscle. It’s a different thing. The injury didn’t come from the collision with Nesta, that just brought the problem to the fore. I wanted to play that game at all costs. I have four months rest ahead of me and then perhaps an operation. I was seeing triple at the start and now it’s just double so there’s some improvement. I’ll be 34 in January but I don’t feel it. As long as there’s enthusiasm... If I’m fine physically, not many will get the better of me. Anyway, even if I’m not playing, I always make myself heard in the changing rooms. Football is my life, it made me rich and famous and I consider myself a very lucky man. I’ve had this problem now for 45 days and without mental strength that’s tough. I can’t write an email, I can’t watch TV. Galliani has been very good as has Rudy Tavana. He’s been so close to me in these days that I said I hoped he wouldn’t have to get a divorce. I only started thinking about football after the worst case scenarios were excluded.
Dr Tavana: "25% of these cases have no known cause, so we’re dealing with a very rare situation. Often it sorts itself out without medical care. We’ve done some tests and can rule out any kind of tumour. Usually the time frame is between 2 and 6 months.”
Rino Gattuso: "I feel important in the changing rooms. For all my team mates, after so many years, I’ve become something of a reference point. Anyone who knows me knows my character. I even sleep with enthusiasm. It’s a part of who I am. If I can do anything for the club or for my team mates, I’m here. I have a lot of love for Milan. The problem came to the fore 4 days prior to the game against Lazio. I felt hot and I called Dr. Tavana. It was supposed to be a big game but those twenty minutes against Lazio were the worst of my career. I felt drunk. I saw Ibra in four different positions at once. Then there was the clash and I left the field. I always listen to the devil on my shoulder who tells me to keep on pushing forward and not to stop. I’m lucky enough to be rich and famous with a lot of people on my side and I can go to the best of doctors and specialists. I think I’m a lucky man. There are people with the same problem as me who have to stay in bed for 6 months. My teammates tease me to make light of the situation, especially Ibra and Cassano. When I meet people, I feel a lot of love. I may not always do or say the right thing, but I always say it to people’s faces ad I think people appreciate that. It’s important to be real. Look at Simoncelli. He loved life, always smiling and that’s why the country will miss him so much. I’m in a tough battle right now. The club is with me though and in the end I’ll get out of it. The important thing is that I know there are much worse things in life than what’s happened to me. Life oìgoes on and I’m hopeful. 20 days ago Tavana, Galliani and I realised that there was a chance I would never play again. Galliani told me not to worry and that the club needed me in other ways even if not on the pitch and that was a beautiful thing. These are the things that count. Football is still my world, wither as a player or in some other way.” |
