Newcastle United have made a £13m bid for Andy Carroll, according to reports.

Yesterday's offer to take the striker on loan was rejected by Liverpool, but Alan Pardew appears determined to get his man and while the latest offer falls far short of the £35m Liverpool paid the Magpies for Carroll, it may be enough to see him return to St James Park.
