Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has hinted that the club could re-sign Alvaro Morata from Juventus at the end of the season.
Reports suggest Juve are ready to offer the striker a new deal in order to stave off Real's interest in bringing him back to the Bernabeu.
Madrid, who sold Morata to the Serie A champions last summer, have the option of re-signing him under the terms of that deal -- and Perez hinted that could happen at the end of the season.
Spanish newspaper Marca reporting him as saying: "We could bring him [back]. It is developing, and at the end of the season we could pay €10 million more than we sold him for [around €22m]."
However, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juve are keen to finalise a new deal for Morata, 22, who scored in the 2-1 Champions League win at Manchester City on Tuesday, to keep him in Turin.
The Italian paper quoted him as saying: "We are in the middle of September -- I haven't even thought about what is going to happen at the end of the season." |
