How do you determine the ability of a manager? Some of my coaches only hv potential abilities of 140 but their reputation still improve to "continental" and "worldclass". How come?
I either hired them by placing an advertisement in the job centre or by hiring someone else's. Before hiring them, I would check their abilities and potentials from MCM. I am using Spurs and many of their coaches only hv potentials of 140, but their reputations r either continental or world class. I won't renew their contracts b/c their salaries and reputations dun match with their abilities/potentials. I agree with the others that some less known coaches hv better abilities and they're much cheaper.

coach is same as player, have potential and ability?!

Yeah. I checked for their coaching ability/potential in the MCM. Some less-known coaches/assistant managers have high potential, like Mark Bowen in Blackburn (assistant manager, potential 180).
