Udinese land Obodo
Udinese have stepped in to sign Nigerian midfielder Christian Obodo from Perugia.
Obodo spent last season on loan at Fiorentina and was a fixture in their side, but they failed to push through a permanent deal and he returned to Perugia this week.
It only proved to be a flying visit, however, as Udinese stepped in with an offer which proved acceptable to the Serie B club.
Udinese are planning for life in the UEFA Champions League next term and clearly feel the 21-year-old can add some quality to their side as they have handed him a five-year deal.
Obodo is well known to Udinese coach Serse Cosmi as he worked under the tactician at Perugia.
Udinese will enter the Champions League at the third qualifying round after finishing fourth in Serie A.
