Palermo chairman Massimo Zamparini confirmed to Goal.com Italy that Luca Toni is virtually a Fiorentina player.
“Yes, Toni wants to go to Fiorentina, and I am personally a great friend of Fiorentina chairman Della Valle,” he said, before explaining what needs to happen for the deal to go through.
“We need to find a substitute first. We can’t let Toni go without having found a valid substitute for him before,” he said.
Zamparini also told Goal.com the names of the strikers the Sicilian side are tracking.
“I like Makinwa and Vucinic, but we are also following a French striker. We also like Cagliari’s Esposito, but we need to see how the deal develops,” he said. |
