No Liverpool contact for Birmingham defender

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce says he's yet to receive contact from Liverpool over centre-half Matthew Upson.

Bruce told Sky Sports News: "It's flattering for him that the big clubs are being linked with him, it's good for him, it's good for the profile of the club.

"But you know we haven't received any bid, we haven't received any phone call.

"I hope we don't, and if we do I think clubs know that he will be a hell of a lot of money."
