Lazio's experienced Portuguese defender Fernando Couto is keeping tight-lipped regarding a move to The Premiership.
Couto has been linked with Middlesbrough and Bolton recently, but as yet the 35-year-old remains with The Biancoceleste.
The former Parma and Barcelona stopper has revealed he is attracting interest, although it is Lazio who hold the key to his future.
Couto is highly paid by the Serie A giants and the defender has stated he is not prepared to accept a pay-cut to leave Lazio.
"Several English clubs are interested in me, but it all depends on Lazio," said Couto to skysports.com.
"I don't like to comment on speculation and I don't like to reveal names.
"Talks with Lazio are open and I hope a positive solution can be found.
"I'm on good money with the Italian club and I won't move on if it results in a negative deal.
"These are the things that will decide if I leave Italy." |
