Arsenal schemer Robert Pires has conceded that Turkish giants Galatasaray have offered him a three-year deal.
The mercurial Frenchman is currently at loggerheads with the Highbury paymasters - who are refusing to offer him the two-year deal he craves.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is notoriously reticent to offer long-term deals to players over 30-years-old and, at 32, Pires has been told he will not be granted the type of contract he hankers after.
Although his representatives have in the past intimated a move to Turkey is an unlikely option, Pires has now expressed his interest in a switch to Galatasaray.
''I have received a proposition from the Turkish president,'' admitted Pires.
''It is very interesting and I am going to study it.
''He is offering me a contract for three years and I am not closing the door to anyone.
''I have until August 31 to reflect and I am taking the proposition very seriously.
''People have been speaking in my place - and that does annoy me.
''I've had a meeting with the Arsenal directors and Arsene Wenger and, as it stands, our next rendezvous is in January.''
