Now that their promotion to Serie A is practically certain, Treviso have reinforced their squad with the Filippini twins, Toro star Andre Pinga and more.
The little northern club was bumped up to the top flight following Genoa’s demotion as a result of a match-fixing scandal and have been holding out on expensive buys until their status is secured.
The arrival of the Filippini twins – Emanuele and Antonio – had been rumoured for several weeks, but the transfer of the pair has only now been completed.
The 32-year-old brothers are owned by Palermo but spent last season at Lazio on loan and now continue their careers together at the Stadio Tenni.
Today’s other impressive new signing is Andre Da Silva Pinga, the 24-year-old Brazilian starlet who was a target for the likes of Milan, Inter and Juventus.
The creative midfielder was a free agent following Torino’s bankruptcy and has penned a three-year contract with Treviso.
President Ettore Setten also confirmed the arrival of 24-year-old Verona defender Andrea Dossena, soon followed by Atalanta man Stefano Lorenzi. |
