According to press reports in France, Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse could soon be re-joining the French top flight - in the colours of Marseille.
Sports daily l'Equipe says that the former Auxerre goal-machine is on the verge of completing a one-year loan deal to the French giants, a move which would realize a childhood dream for the 24-year-old Cisse.
One of former coach Gerard Houllier's final signings for the European Champions before his departure last northern summer, Cisse is believed to be unhappy with his position on Liverpool's right flank this season.
The left-footed striker is desperate to impress Les Bleus coach Raymond Domenech in the lead-up to next year's World Cup.
And Cisse feels that the right wing is not the best place from which to launch his campaign.
Meanwhile, rumours have also linked the powerful striker - who played in France's 3-0 thrashing of the Ivory Coast on Wednesday - with Ligue 1 champions Lyon, now coached by Houllier.
But Houllier told club website www.olweb.fr: "I know the English talked about Cisse coming back to France but this is all wrong."
