Tudor To Join Bolton On Loan

The English club will however have to beat the stiff competition of Villareal.
Juventus are ready to send defender Igor Tudor on loan to Bolton Wanderers. Coach Sam Allardyce - a keen admirer of the Croatian player - had already unsuccessfully tried to lure Tudor to England last summer.

Villareal, who already signed Alessio Tacchinardi on loan from the Bianconeri this summer, are also in the hunt for the strong but injury-prone defender, however General Director Luciano Moggi confirmed that the Juve player will be joining the English club soon.

"We have an agreement with Bolton for Tudor, but the player prefers Villareal. Personally I think that he will go to Bolton."

Tudor, whose contract with the Old Lady expires in 2007, spent last season on loan with Siena.

Bolton Wanderers have agreed a one-year loan deal for Igor Tudor with Juventus.

The Croatia international is holding talks with The Trotters over making the switch to The Premiership.

"I think Juventus have annoucned on their website we're chasing one of their players," said Gartside. "We've got one or two others still on the list.

"We've had a good summer in terms of signings, we've replaced players with good quality and managed to retain rest of squad too, including Jay-Jay Okocha."
