Miccoli rejects Portsmouth bid

Juventus’ Fabrizio Miccoli has rejected a possible loan move to Portsmouth. The Italian international has rejected the offer as he is holding out for a move to Benfica. Miccoli is known to be available as Juve look to streamline their squad, especially amidst more rumours that Antonio Cassano is on his way to Turin. Transfer guru Luciano Moggi, who revealed interest in Miccoli from Aston Villa, said: "Benfica technical director Jose Vega is a friend and we know they are interested in him so we can negotiate it. But Miccoli is a great player and we will not let him leave for less than £7m." Moggi has already stated that they could wait until January before selling him to get his full value.
