Heinze Set For Lengthy Spell Out
Gabriel Heinze will miss the majority of United's season after damaging cruciate knee ligaments in the draw with Villarreal.
Sir Alex Ferguson, speaking at his pre-Liverpool press conference, said: "It's not good news. He'll be out for most of the season. It's a bad blow."
Ferguson also revealed that Kieran Richardson, who filled in at left back on Wednesday night, will see more action as a result of Heinze's injury.
"Kieran will be more involved," said Fergie. "He acquitted himself very well against Villarrreal. He's only 20 but he came back from West Brom a man. He provides a different option for us as an attacking full-back."
