Gerard Houllier felt Lyon deserved to beat Rosenborg 1-0 in the UEFA
Champions League.
Cris' goal was enough to ensure Lyon boast maximum points in their group and
are firmly on course to progress to the knockout phase, having beaten Real
Madrid 3-0 in their first game.
Lyon's success in Norway was the first time a French side had won in
Trondheim and Houllier was delighted with the victory.
"Lyon played a very good match against a very good team that is not used to
losing at home in the Champions League but we made them common by the way we
played," said Houllier.
"The first half was very spectacular, with great, classy movements. I
estimate that we deserved the win.
"I was never very worried, even when Rosenborg put pressure on us during the
first ten, and the last ten minutes.
"I think our midfield was particularly brilliant in their choices, their
impulsions and orientations.
"I am very satisfied and very proud by the performance and the behaviour of
the group."
