Espanyol are believed to be on the verge of tying up a deal for Birmingham striker Walter Pandiani.
After impressing for the Blues last season, Pandiani has netted just one Premiership goal in the current campaign and has spent much of his time on the substitute’s bench.

Former club Mallorca were also interested in taking the player back to Son Moix but Espanyol look to have won the race and are planning to unveil Pandiani in the next few days.

He may make his debut in the Copa del Rey against Getafe.
