Reports in Italy indicate that Internazionale are ready to test the water over Corinthians star Carlos Tevez.
The Argentine, saddled with the inevitable tag of the 'new Maradona', served notice of his considerable talent by being named the best player in Brazilian football after leading Corinthians to their first title for six years.
Premiership champions Chelsea have long been rumoured to hold a strong interest in the former Boca Juniors man, and the Brazilian outfit have already denied that a deal is in place with Jose Mourinho's side.
Tevez is rated at around €25 million, but has a buyout clause of four times that, and reports are indicating that Inter supremo Massimo Moratti is ready to test Corinthians' resolve over one of South America's brightest talents.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with an interest as well as The Blues, but the Nerazzurri boast Tevez's former Boca team-mate Nicholas Burdisso - potentially handing them an advantage in any transfer scramble. |
