According to reports Inter Milan are likely to trade Argentine midfielder Cristian Gonzalez for Lazio’s talented Brazilian midfielder Cesar.
‘Kily’ has not been able to hold a regular starting line-up position at Inter and club officials have confirmed that his contract will not be extended when it expires in June.
In recent months Gonzalez has stated that after the World Cup he will make a return to Argentine soccer, although he may still end his Serie A career at Lazio if the switch is made.
On the other hand the deal may play in Lazio’s favour as if they do not make the switch Cesar is likely to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
The Brazilian winger has recently revealed his desire to leave the Roma based club, after an outburst with Lazio president Claudio Lotito that continually put back contract renewal talks.
