Iaquinta close to Spurs move

Spurs boss Martin Jol is close to a £7m deal for Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta. Spurs have already held talks with the Italian international, who has been valued at £8m. However, the Premiership side have been told there is room for negotiation with the player keen to swap Serie A for the Premiership. Iaquinta is unsettled at Udinese after a drawn out problem over a new contract earlier this season. With eight goals behind him already this term, the Friuli outfit now seem ready to cash in on the 26-year-old.
