Manchester United have made an offer to Real Madrid for Denmark midfielder Thomas Gravesen, according to Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet.

The paper said Alex Ferguson's side had offered 3.8 million euros ($4.59 million) for the international, seeing him as a natural replacement for Roy Keane, but that Real were holding out for 5 million.

"The ball is in Madrid's court. They are the ones who have to take the decision not me," Gravesen told the paper on Wednesday.

"They have to decide once and for all if they want me or not."

The 29-year-old joined Real from Everton in January 2005 for a reported fee of 3.5 million euros ($4.68 million).

After being a regular starter under Wanderley Luxemburgo until the end of last season he has dropped out of favour this season as new coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro has preferred Pablo Garcia, Guti, Ivan Helguera and Sergio Ramos.

Gravesen has a contract with Real till 2008.

曼聯領隊費格遜表示，球會可能還會再添一名球員。

曼聯在一月已經用了一千二百萬鎊，收購艾華及維迪兩名後防。

一般認為，他們可能會再收購一名中場球員去填補堅尼位置，需要早前費格遜已表明陣容已經足夠。

「這是有可能我們會再添一名球員。」費格遜說。

「不過我對於新收購的兩名球員都感到滿意。」

在週三有傳加維臣成為曼聯目標之一，雖然有關方面已經表示否認。不過費格遜的言論，再令人想起加維臣離隊的可能性。

其實皇馬0吾應該賣Graveason。。因為好似皇馬呢種球隊須要Graveason 呢D球員做攔截同搶斷0既dirty
job。。。好似以前0既Geremi 同 Makelele 0甘。。。

離開漢堡後嘅加維臣只幹髒活,就只會好似佢上季下半季咁狼狽..難道你冇睇過?
另外,我真係冇印象謝林美當年曾經係我地嘅防中,替補右翼衛居多,右翼都甚少有得佢踢..

　　新浪体育讯　北京时间1月13日英国消息，曼联主帅弗格森在接受《天空体育》采访时表示，正在操作第三名新援加盟曼联的事情。

　　冬季转会窗启动后，曼联买人势头很猛，10天内连续签下两名年轻后卫，分别是塞黑主力中卫维迪奇和法国国脚埃夫拉，曼联为这二人支付了1200万英镑的转会费。《曼城晚报》曾撰文披露，速战速决后曼联的转会大幕已经落下。不过当《天空体育》曝出格拉维森有意告别皇马后，局势又起了变化。弗格森承认，他还在寻找一名新人，位置是中场。

　　“曼联有可能还会引进一名新人。”弗格森说，“目前我们正处于搜索阶段。我对此前两笔签约都非常满意，维迪奇和埃夫拉会给曼联防线带来很大提升，他俩都是出色的球员。”

　　在媒体曝出格拉维森有意转会后说出这番话，很难让人相信曼联与格拉维森之间至今还很“清白”。丹麦人虽然年龄稍大(29岁 )，但以他出色的身体素质，再踢3-4年不成问题，昔日在埃弗顿踢球的经历也让他免去了对外援来说比较头疼的适应期，是转会市场上不可多得的“成品”。

　　曼联一向有冬季爆发的传统，眼下他们在各方面都有上升趋势。除了海因策和福琼之外，伤员陆续回归，内维尔、萨哈和索尔斯克亚都渐入佳境，此外鲁尼和范尼这对锋线主力搭档锐力不减，C罗、斯科尔斯和吉格斯的状态也有大幅提升。如果能在最薄弱的后腰方面有所加强，即便追不上切尔西，也能在联赛第二名以及两个杯赛的提高竞争力。

　　不过格拉维森加盟曼联有个隐患，弗格森对丹麦人定位在哪？如果是媒体普遍认为的后腰，那么他在皇马表现说明，在这个位置上不能发挥个人最强实力，如果是在埃弗顿和丹麦国家队都如鱼得水的前腰，也就是进攻组织者角色，那么与近期状态回升的斯科尔斯冲突。当然这些都是后话，弗格森要想做成这笔买卖，首要任务是从美国老板那里拿到一笔数目不小的转会费。(黎璐)

Real Madrid have rejected a ?.5 million bid from Manchester United for midfielder Thomas Gravesen.

The Danish midfielder, 29, is desperate to quit Spain after starting just seven games this season.

He and his agent John Sivebaek met club chiefs before last night's 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

But Real said they did not want to offload the midfielder just 12 months after his ?.8m arrival from Everton.

Sivebaek said: "We had a meeting with Real in the morning - and there is no way they are selling."

Fergie must now decide whether he will test Real's resolve by making an improved bid.

Gravesen was booked in the King's Cup victory over Bilbao as Real won 5-0 on aggregate. He was subbed after 74 minutes.
