Benitez closing in on last January transfer
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is closing in on his final signing of the January transfer window and could have his man in the bag before the weekend.
Transfer negotiations have been taking place during the last week with chief executive Rick Parry rumoured to have made several jaunts around the UK (not Europe) to try and conclude a deal. Either the agent is UK based or he's flown in and remained here for a few days to try and negotiate a deal.
We believe that Parry has been working flat out to try and bring in the target with manager Rafael Benitez having made at least one apperance himself at one of the mini conferences.
Liverpool continue to be linked with Daniel Alves but there's also speculated interest in players closer to home.
Quoted this weekend, manager Rafael Benitez said: "I believe we will bring in another signing over the next few days."
