Tottenham Tried To Re-Sign Sheringham

Tottenham have revealed that they approached West Ham over the possibility of taking Teddy Sheringham back to White Hart Lane.

The news will come as a surprise to many as they allowed the player to leave in 2003, feeling that he was too old.

But they were keen to take him back for a third spell at the club as they are currently short of strikers, with Mido away on international duty.

West Ham are believed to have told Tottenham that they had no interest in letting the player leave.
