Forlan Barca’s Alternative To Henry?

Villarreal’s Diego Forlan is today being linked with a move to Barcelona.

It is no secret that the Catalans are big admirers of Thierry Henry but with the Arsenal striker seemingly committed to Highbury, the club may be forced to look elsewhere.

Forlan reportedly appeals to Barca’s technical secretary Txiki Begiristain because he is a player who is familiar with La Liga, and one who finished top scorer last season.

He would also not expect to start almost every match as the Frenchman surely would.

With Henrik Larsson leaving the club in the summer, it is certain that a new striker will be arriving at Camp Nou, and Forlan would appear to be one of the leading candidates.
