Malaga have completed the signing of defender Jorge Ribeiro, brother of recent Chelsea arrival Maniche.

The 24-year-old left-back joins on loan for the remainder of the season from Dinamo Moscow, although there is an option to complete a permanent three-year deal after that time.

The Portuguese international links up with a team in crisis who lie bottom of La Primera, and sacked their manager on Monday.

However, he remained positive about the move and insisted he would give everything to try and help the club turn around their ailing fortunes.

"I am at a great club who I want to help get out of this difficult situation," he stated.

"The directors spoke with me and always showed a lot of interest in me.

"I want to work hard to win the confidence of the coach."

Ribeiro becomes the fourth Portuguese player on the books at Malaga, joining up with Duda, Edgar and Litos
