Veron might stay at Inter

Juan Sebastian Veron’s agent has revealed that his client may not quit Inter at the end of this season.
The midfielder has regularly stated that his Italian adventure will conclude in the summer for family reasons.
However, the Argentine’s representative has now suggested that the 30-year-old may not in fact return to his homeland.
“It is by no means certain that my client will be leaving,” Fernando Hidalgo told the Guerin Sportivo magazine.
“In the next few weeks we will be meeting with the club’s directors. Everyone is writing that he’ll go back to Argentina, but I won’t exclude that he could stay.”
Veron is key figure in the plans of boss Roberto Mancini and his presence does have a knock-on effect on the use of David Pizarro, another of Hidalgo’s players.
The Chilean arrived from Udinese in the summer, but his lack of use could lead to a transfer request.
“Mancini is the only one who knows why David is playing so rarely, even if he has no problems with the Coach,” added Hidalgo.
“David doesn’t want to leave at all costs, yet the club need to understand whether my client is of use or not.
“It is quite clear that a lot of outfits would be interested if he is put on the transfer market.”
The South American has already been linked with a switch to Roma, where he could again link up with former Udinese boss Luciano Spalletti.
