Tony Warner and Mark Crossley are battling for the starting berth between the sticks with Antti Niemi injured.

Niclas Jensen or Liam Rosenior will replace Wayne Bridge at left-back, while midfielder Papa Bouba Diop is doubtful with a swollen foot.

Arsenal welcome Freddie Ljungberg and Dennis Bergkamp back into their squad.

But Robin van Persie (toe) remains sidelined along with a host of defenders, including full-back Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell and Pascal Cygan.

Fulham manager Chris Coleman:

"We've got to put pressure on them. No matter what it takes we have to come off with a result.
"We are within touching distance of safety and we've got to make sure we don't lose.

"We won't be sitting back, I can promise you that. We will probably see goals. At which end who knows?"


Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger:

"We have wasted so many points that at the moment we cannot think we can still afford to drop points.
"We are now in contention with five or six clubs (for a top four finish).

"The results can go for you, for one club or two, but not for five."

Pires and Almunia to miss Fulham trip

Robert Pires and Manuel Almunia have been added to the injury list for Saturday’s match at Fulham.

Speaking to Arsenal TV Online yesterday Arsenal Wenger confirmed the continuing absence of Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell (both ankle), Robin van Persie (toe) Pascal Cygan (hamstring), Kerrea Gilbert (back) Lauren (knee) and Clichy (foot).

There were two more additions at the pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Pires is coming back from the flu and will not be involved,” said Wenger. “But it should not be a problem for Wednesday [against Real Madrid].

“Almunia has a slight knock, a problem with his hand and knuckles.”

It is expected that Mart Poom will be on the bench.

Wenger added that Campbell “should be back with the team one day in the week, but Ashley will be three to four weeks”.
