Just Give Me The Ball
Our Tater gave another sublime performance yesterday. He started on the left of midfield and due to substitutions ended up on the right. It didn't seem to matter to him. He ended up giving his impression of a Spanish matador to various Fulham players before he moved in for the kill.
Mikel says: "I always try to do my best and help the team as much as I can. I like creating things for us to win matches. What I always say is that it doesn't matter where I play, just keep me in contact with the ball. I try to create things all the time. If I get the ball on the left, the right or in the middle, it doesn't matter but I just want the ball. If we see a weakness in the opposite team, we try to exploit it. I am always there, doing my best for the team. The gaffer has asked me to play in a couple of different roles because of injuries or when he has wanted to play in a different way." (12/03/06) |
