Roma have convinced Milan to loan them the services of Marek Jankulovski for the 2006-07 campaign, according to reports.
Whispers in the peninsula on Tuesday suggest that an agreement has already been reached between the two parties, with the player also accepting the switch.
Jankulovski has endured a difficult first campaign at the San Siro since his £7m move from Udinese in the summer.
The Czech Republic international joined the club just months after breaking his ankle and has failed to subsequently prove himself with the Rossoneri.
Milan are now ready to offer the player a chance of regular first team football by allowing him to play for the Giallorossi next season.
It’s unclear at this stage whether Roma will also be handed an option to buy the wing-back outright in the summer of 2007.
Jankulovski will certainly be hopeful that he can revive his career at the Stadio Olimpico given his relationship with boss Luciano Spalletti.
The two men were a massive success together at Udinese before both opted for separate destinations at the start of this season.
