Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi, according to reports.
The winger is set for a Delle Alpi exit after a problematic season in Turin and the German giants are keen.
Boss Felix Magath, who famously scored the winner for Hamburg in a European Cup Final against the Old Lady, is understood to have asked his club to make enquiries.
Juventus are ready to sell the Argentine-born Italian international given his strained relationship with boss Fabio Capello and the club’s directors.
With the outfit already moving for Parma winger Marco Marchionni, who will join on a free transfer in June, Camoranesi is expected to end his Turin stint even if his contract runs until 2009.
Bayern may find it tough to negotiate with the Old Lady of Italian football though after their criticism of the club earlier this season.
Bayern attacked Juve for the way they attempted to sign Willy Sagnol on a free transfer once his Bayern deal expired in the summer.
However, the Frenchman will now not arrive in Italy after he was persuaded to ink a Munich extension.
Camoranesi, signed from Verona, has also been linked with Milan, Inter and even Real Madrid in the past. |
