Parma stopper Daniele Bonera has confirmed he’s interested in joining Liverpool, even if he’s not failing to rule out a move to a number of other clubs.
The Italian international has been associated with the Premiership giants since last summer and whispers suggest the Reds will make a fresh bid at the end of this term, much to his delight.
“It’s an experience which I would like to try out,” the versatile defender stated. “I’m convinced that it would be very useful for me as a player.
“After all, I’ve always really liked the English style of football.”
Nevertheless, Bonera has left the doors wide open to a number of transfers given his links with Juventus, Palermo and Roma.
“I do hope in Juventus,” he went on. “They are a great club and joining an outfit of such stature would be great.
“Palermo? I wouldn’t object as that is a marvellous city,” he added. “I don’t know anything about Roma though.”
But Bonera has also made a plea to Fiorentina given that he’s keen to work under Cesare Prandellli, his former Parma boss.
“My dream is to one day be taught by Prandelli again,” he revealed. “Yet for now all I can do is think about Parma.
“I’m tied to them until 2007 and both parties, the club and myself, seem set to respect the terms of that agreement.” |
