Everton and Newcastle United are reportedly chasing Villarreal striker Diego Forlan.

The former Manchester United forward has recently declared he would like another chance to prove himself in the Premiership, with several potential suitors mentioned.

Forlan told BBC Sport: "I think every player wants to go to a big team and that's what I aim for.

"I am in a good team but everything is very comfortable, but of course everyone looks forward for growing and that is what I am aiming for.

"If there is a good offer - a good offer for me and the club, of course I will be going back. i would like to."
