Brothers Murat and Hakan Yakin have been left out of Switzerland's World Cup squad.
The experienced duo have been struggling with injury and have not made the 23-man party announced by coach Kobi Kuhn on Monday.
FC Zurich midfield duo Blerim Dzemaili and Xavier Margairaz have earned call-ups but Benjamin Huggel is suspended after his part in the stormy play-off with Turkey.
Rennes hit-man Alexander Frei is fit to take his place in attack and Arsenal youngster Johan Djourou joins Highbury team-mate Philippe Senderos in the squad.
Uncapped Basel ace David Degen is also included as the Swiss look to progress from a group that includes France, South Korea and Togo.

Serbia & Montenegro coach Ijija Petkovic has unveiled his 23-man squad for the World Cup finals.
Petkovic left it until deadline day to reveal his plans, but he has kept faith with the players who guided the country to Germany.

Veteran Savo Milosevic, Nikola Zigic, Danijel Ljuboja and rising star Mirko Vucinic will look to fill the position.
Young keeper Vladimir Stojkovic, who has just signed a deal with French side Nantes, will get some extra international experience with the trip to Germany.
Basel man Ivan Ergic has been given the nod, but there is no place for Dejan Petkovic.
