Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini has lived up to his reputation by sacking Giuseppe Papadopulo in favour of bringing back Francesco Guidolin.
Although Papadopulo was handed a new one-year contract just six weeks ago, Zampa has this evening shown him the door.
Zamparini had originally dismissed widespread speculation that he would be bringing back Guidolin, but the whispers were finally confirmed on Monday.
Guidolin joins the Stadio Renzo Barbera outfit on a three-year deal after he had an unsuccessful eight-month stay at Monaco in the last campaign.
Guidolin only left the Sicilian club last summer after he led the outfit to UEFA Cup qualification, just a year after guiding the Rosanero into Serie A. |
