Real Madrid’s transfer consultant has sensationally opened the door for club captain Raul to join Roma.
“I have spoken to [sporting director Daniele] Prade and [Coach Luciano] Spalletti in an informal manner about him,” Ernesto Bronzetti told SPQ Radio on Wednesday.
“I can’t rule out the possibility of a concrete negotiation for him at some stage in the future,” he amazingly added.
Raul is arguably Spain’s most recognisable striker and is considered as a symbol of the Estadio Bernabeu outfit.
However, Bronzetti has suggested that the player could consider a switch to the Giallorossi if he was to ever leave the Spanish capital.
“The Spaniard would be wanted by Roma. It’s not just me saying it, Spalletti would always want to sign him,” added the agent.
“Today this theory is just talk and nothing else. However, the excellent relationship between the two clubs means the situation could change.
“Raul is still a young player who can give much more in his career. The player and his wife also consider Rome to be the most beautiful city in the world.”
Raul, currently preparing for the 2006 World Cup, has been linked with a Serie A switch in the past with Milan a serious one time admirer. |
