Veron awaits Chelsea talks Friday 2 June, 2006

Juan Sebastian Veron is awaiting the outcome of talks with Chelsea before he makes a decision on his future destination.
The Argentine international, who has been left out of their World Cup squad, admitted yesterday that his two-year spell at Inter would come to an end this summer.
It was an emotional decision for the 31-year-old, who has spent much of his career in the peninsula with Sampdoria, Parma and Lazio.
However, his future remains very much up in the air, as Premiership champions Chelsea still own the ex-Manchester United playmaker.
And Veron has admitted that although he doesn’t know where he will be playing next term, he expects it to be with Estudiantes.
“I think I will know on Monday where I will be playing next season,” said Veron.
“It all depends on what my agent Fernando Hidalgo brings back from London, where he is in negotiations with Chelsea.
"There is a chance I will be playing at Estudiantes, but it's not up to me because I am in the middle. There are some things to be resolved with Chelsea.
“If there isn't an agreement with Estudiantes then I will have to choose another team in Argentina and return to them when I can.”
Despite failing to make much of an impact on the Premiership, Veron will be remembered as one of the top Serie A players of the past decade, with his crowning glory coming in 2000 when he led Lazio to the Scudetto.
