Skysports.com can confirm Laurent Robert is set to hold talks with newly
promoted Levante.
The midfielder's short Benfica career appears to be over with neither party
looking particularly eager to prolong his stay in Portugal.
He has already been linked with both Rangers and Galatasaray this summer but
Levante have now emerged as frontrunners to capture his signature.
The Primera Liga new boys are pulling out all the stops to strengthen their
squad for the upcoming season and the addition of Robert would be a real
coup.
The player's agent Willie McKay revealed Robert was set to hold negotiations
with Levante over a possible move to Spain.
"We are travelling over to Spain to have talks with Levante," McKay told
skysports.com.
"They are very keen on him and we will see what happens.
"Benfica are willing to let him leave and Laurent is excited at the prospect
of playing in Spain."
