比亞堤開齋,安尼捷比入左熱身賽第4個波
Aberdeen 2-3 Everton
James Beattie netted his first goal of pre-season as Everton twice came from behind to secure a 3-2 victory over Aberdeen.
The Blues produced some promising football - particularly following the half-time arrival of substitutes Mikel Arteta and Andy Johnson.
But their failure to show real bite in the final third looked to have proved costly, with Aberdeen twice going ahead courtesy of two well taken goals from Gary Dempsey and Jamie Smith in Russell Anderson's testimonial match.
The stadium announcer gave the goal to Arteta, but it was Beattie who received the plaudits of his teammates as they celebrated the striker's first goal of pre-season.
Having made a notable impact as subs, Arteta and Johnson combined shortly before the hour mark. It was a delightful pass from the Spanish midfielder that released the record signing.
He was denied his first goal in a Blue shirt by a smart save from Soutar.
Having been under cosh for the opening period of the second half, the Dons restored their lead in the 70th minute courtesy of a sweet finish from the edge of the box by Smith, who powered the ball beyond Richard Wright just minutes after the keeper had entered the action in place of Howard.
Aberdeen almost extended their lead when sub Stephen Lovell capitalised on a slip by Joleon Lescott to snatch the ball and send a chip over Wright but, thankfully for the Blues, over the bar as well.
Everton made the home side pay for that missed chance with the second equaliser of the night.
Cahill slid in superbly in the 85th minute to score at the back post after a brilliant turn and low drilled cross from sub Victor Anichebe.
It silenced the decent home crowd and provided a fitting end to the contest for the Blues.
They were left dumbfounded when the Blues turned the scoreline completely on its head through Anichebe's fearsome drive from the edge of the box that fizzed below the body of Soutar for the Nigerian striker's fourth goal of pre-season.
