1979 FA Cup Final (actual yellow shirt worn against MU)
1979 FA Cup Final (home shirt prepared in case MU drew to play in away kit)
Home shirt from the 82/83 season. The man with the long legs is Charlie Nicholas. In 1982 JVC became Arsenal's new sponsor.
Same shirt. This shirt was used between 82-84. Picture taken from the From the Football - not Muggybonehead Shirt Catalogue, see links.
Away shirt 82-84
84/85 away shirt. Arsenal playing in stripes! The 80's fashion was mad!

Right: Vivian Anderson sporting this shirt
Arsenal Centenary shirt from 1985.
In 1986 Adidas became Arsenals new kit supplier. Arsenal, Adidas and JVC made a magic combination, if you ask me. The shirts from this period are really fantastic. This shirt was used between 86-88.
Away shirt from 1986. This shirt was used between 86 and 88. Also from my personal collection.
Detail from Arsenal shirt. Notice the small cannons in the fabric.
Same without JVC-logo

Probably the ugliest fotball shirt ever made. The team used this shirt between 91 and 93.

1995-1996 away.
In 1996 Nike made this home shirt that proved so lucky in the 97/98 season.
This is how the shirts look without the JVC-logo. It´s looks kind of empty. Something is missing. When you actually miss the commercial you can be sure that the enemy has won!
Long-sleeved player´s shirt
The 96/97 away shirt.
Wonderful away shirt. Who can forget when Overmars scored the only goal away at Old Trafford wearing this shirt. This shirt was the first to use Nike´s Dri-Fit technology.
Right: Overmars shirt. Was it maybe this shirt he was wearing when he scored that magnificent goal?
Never used prototype shirts. The team was meant to use this model in the game against RC Lens in the Champions League in 1998, but instead they used an all blue shirt, as you hopefully can see on the pictures below..
This all blue shirt didn´t bring us luck. The winning goal was offside and the performance by the Arsenal players wasn´t impressive in any way. I wonder if we even had a shot on goal! Maybe the combination, blue and Arsenal isn´t a match made in heaven.
Season 98/99
1999-2000: For this season the Gunners changed shirt sponsor. For seventeen years they had been sponsored by JVC, now SEGA took over. Some of us still haven't gotten used to the new sponsor.
