Samp confirm Vieri split! Thursday 10 August, 2006

Sampdoria Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that they have cancelled the contract of Christian Vieri.
Reports in Italy this morning suggested that the player’s agreement had been rescinded and those whispers have revealed themselves as truth this afternoon.
A club statement read: “Sampdoria inform that late last night, after a serene meeting between director general Giuseppe Marotta and Christian Vieri, both parties agreed that there was no longer the possibility to continue with the professional agreement previously defined.”
The 33-year-old, who only signed for Doria at the start of July, is now considered as a free agent even if he may retire from the game completely. |
