施丹放棄6000萬薪金

【明報專訊】法國球星施丹在世界盃(網站 - 圖片)後已告退休，但他與皇家馬德里仍有一年合約，據西班牙)傳媒披露，跟據合約施丹最後一年年薪6000萬港元（600萬歐元）的薪金，但他決定放棄。皇馬對施丹的決定大加讚賞，更考慮為他籌辦友賽法國隊作為告別紀念賽。

Zinedine Zidane has kissed goodbye to six million euros, the salary he would have received for the final year of his contract at Real Madrid before retiring at the end of last season.

The former France playmaker says he won't touch "a single euro" from that sum in payment for the work he does between now and the end of the contract with Real's youngsters or in his new role as the club's ambassador.

"Zidane's behaviour has been exemplary, worthy of a star of his stature," said a Real director quoted by Spanish sports daily AS.

AS added that Zidane, sent off for that infamous headbutt in the World Cup final against Italy last month, plans to continue living in the Spanish capital where he is in the process of building a home.

The paper also reports that Real are considering paying homage to the former galactico with a fixture against his former Les Bleus' teammates.

WIthout reading Hacker's post, I would ask "why the club has to pay ZZ if ZZ don't play anymore.

This news extract is misleading to me, without
"payment for the work he does between now and the end of the contract with Real's youngsters or in his new role as the club's ambassador."
