Serie A newcomers Torino FC have parted company with coach Giovanni De Biasi three days before the start of the new season and appointed Alberto Zaccheroni.
Experienced man
De Biasi, 50, led the Granata to Serie A promotion last season but a series of poor pre-season results convinced the club to make a change. The 53-year-old Zaccheroni made his name at Udinese Calcio before joining AC Milan and leading the Rossoneri to the Scudetto in 1999. Zaccheroni, who has reportedly signed a two-year contract, has also coached S.S. Lazio and FC Internazionale Milano. Torino start their Serie A campaign against Parma FC on Sunday.
