Kuyt: Goal great but I still need to improve

Dirk Kuyt was asked after today's 3-0 win over Spues whether the scoreline made the game look more comfortable than it actually was. Speaking to Sky Sports, Kuyt said: "We had a very, very difficult day. We had to work really hard to get the 3-0 score. I think the Spurs had a very well team. They played very well first half, but the second half we did good I think - we created chances and we made the goals. That's the important thing."
Jermaine Jenas missed an open goal less than a minute before the opener from Mark Gonzalez, and Kuyt said was the turning point in the match: "I think that was the time the game changes. They missed an open goal and we scored one minute after and that was not so funny for them." Asked what he thought of his own goal, his second in two games, he said: "I think the goal today was a great goal, but I think I still have to play better for the team. It's getting better and better, the results are getting better, so I have now a lot of confidence and I hope to get a move on and make more goals."
He's been compared with Kevin Keegan recently and he was asked if he was flattered by that. He replied with feeling: "Really flattered by that. It's always nice to be flattered by very important players and very important people so I'm very glad with that."
