Moratti back as president

MILAN - The F.C. Internazionale shareholders' meeting took place late this afternoon in Milan. The meeting began after a minute's silence in memory of Giacinto Facchetti. The following resolutions on the agenda were passed:

1. Approval of the budget to 30 June 2006 and consequent resolutions;
2. Appointment of the board of directors, subject to the determination of number of board members and duration of positions;
3. Appointment of the president of the board of directors.

The shareholders appointed Dr Massimo Moratti as president of the board of directors of F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A.

Shareholders representing over 99% of the capital stock participated in the meeting. The budget, approved to 30 June 2006, closed with a loss of approximately €31m, together with approximately €15m of losses carried forward, for total losses of €46m, entirely balanced through share premium reserves, reserves to cover losses, and capital grants paid by the majority shareholder.
