JERMAINE BECKFORD TRANSFER LISTED BY LEEDS
Leeds United have placed Jermaine Beckford on the transfer list following the 25-year-old's decision to reject the club's offer of a new three-year contract.
Beckford, who has 12 months of his current contract remaining, has scored 54 goals in 98 appearances for the club since joining from non-league Wealdstone in March 2006.
Leeds United chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "As a policy we will always look to retain our most effective players, however we will only do so within the financial parameters that we believe are appropriate. The offer we have made to Jermaine is what we believe to be a very good offer, but he has exercised his right to turn it down.
"On the basis that he has 12 months remaining on his current contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer, we feel we must consider any offers that are forthcoming for him.
"In the event that no offers are forthcoming or the offers received are unacceptable to us then he will remain part of Simon Grayson's squad next season."

Leeds United: Whites linked with Healy
Leeds United have been linked with moves for former crowd favourite David Healy and Michael Mifsud as boss Simon Grayson eyes his replacement for transfer listed hotshot Jermaine Beckford.
Healy, 29, was a huge hit during three seasons at Elland Road between October 2004 and July 2007, during which time he netted 32 goals.
The Northern Ireland international has struggled to make an impact since his move from former club Fulham to Sunderland.
Maltese international Mifsud, meanwhile, is a free agent after his contract at Coventry City expired.
The 28-year-old striker was on loan at Barnsley for the last three months of the championship season and scored twice for the Tykes who avoided relegation with a last day win at Plymouth.
He has 20 international goals in 64 appearances to his name.

Manchester City set £22m limit on Joleon Lescott and bid £10m for Leeds starlet Fabian Delph
Manchester City are preparing a take-it-or-leave-it offer of around £22million for Everton defender Joleon Lescott as manager Mark Hughes sizes up two other targets.
Hughes may switch his sights to Newcastle's Sebastien Bassong and Chelsea's Alex if Everton remain resistant to City's money.
City have also lodged a £10m offer with Leeds for their much coveted England Under 21 midfielder Fabian Delph, 19.

Ace Brazilian midfielder Ademar says he would love to play for Leeds and help the club back into the big time.
The 24-year-old has already made a big impact in Europe with spells in Portugal and Romania and says he has set his sights on playing in the Premier League, and believes he could achieve his ambition with Leeds.
"I have always loved to watch English teams play and remember some big games with Leeds United. They were games against Manchester United and Liverpool but recently they have experienced some bad times.
"My agent Bruno Dantas lived in Leeds and has told me about what has happened to the club. He feels Leeds would be ideal for me as it has ambition to regain its place as one of the biggest teams in England and has many passionate fans which is very important to me," said Ademar.
"I want to play against my favourite players Robinho, and Kaka and believe I can do that with Leeds.
"I have the experience, skills and mental attitude to succeed".
Ademar has been offered a two year extension of his contract at top Romanian side Gloria Buzau but says he wants his agent to explore any interest from Leeds before committing his future.
Dantas has made contact with United and says a deal could be done.
"I represent six of the most talented young Brazilian players all of whom would like to play in England," said Dantas. "The priority is Ademar as he is out of contract and is perfectly suited to the English game, He could prove to be a good investment for Leeds United."
Ademar played as a junior with his home club, Londrina FC, where he was quickly selected to represent his country, at the age of 16.

32歲的米斯於列斯聯成名，其後曾效力曼城，一年前獲悉因膝傷關係，經已無法回復昔日的體能狀態。02年曾代表英格蘭參與世界盃決賽周，米斯共獲得19頂喼帽；他表示：「我已經18個月沒有踢波，3、4個月之後可能又要做另一個手術，現在我的膝蓋已不像從前靈活。」
「這是非常不幸的情況，從今天起我會結束職業生涯，做一些足球以外的事；之前，我到過美國、德國、瑞典等國家試圖找方法醫治，可是沒有任何用處，或者我會把過去的經歷整理，才決定下一步工作。」
