Internazionale are in pole position to sign David Pizarro from Udinese this summer, says his agent.
The Bianconeri have already started pre-season but Pizarro has so far failed to turn up after handing in a transfer request.
A host of clubs have been linked with the playmaker, but it seems as if the Milan based side are in fine shape to make a successful bid.
"David will return to Udine on Sunday," Fernando Hidalgo said. "He has nothing against the club but he just wants a move away.
"His name has been linked with great teams for the last two years but no real bids were made at the time.
"Things have changed now though. There has still been no official offer but negotiations have certainly started.
"At this moment in time Inter’s interest is the most advanced, especially because (boss Roberto) Mancini is a big fan of the player. He already tried to sign him while at Lazio."
Juventus have also been linked but Hidalgo has ruled out a move to the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit.
"It seems to me that they are busy trying to sign Patrick Vieira from Arsenal, an operation which blocks a move for David," he noted.
"Could Juve sign him and then send him to Roma as part of an Antonio Cassano bid? That seems like fantasy football to me."
In other transfer news, midfielder Alfonso Camorani has completed his move from Fiorentina to Lecce.
