Juventus and Inter could be on the verge of completing more transfer business after a meeting took place in Milan.
Juve transfer guru Luciano Moggi spent an hour in the office of Inter owner Massimo Moratti before avoiding journalists on his way out.
Moratti confirmed that he did speak with the director general but ruled out that any player moves had been discussed.
"He just came for a friendly chat," explained the Nerazzurri patron. "It had nothing to do with any transfers at all."
However, whispers suggest that is not necessarily true, as the Bianconeri are allegedly keen on Cristiano Zanetti (pictured).
The midfielder is being linked with an exit but Juventus have denied further speculation that they are ready to offer Gianluca Zambrotta in return for the player.
"Zambrotta for Zanetti? That is pure journalistic fantasy," responded Juve Vice-president Roberto Bettega.
Meanwhile, Moggi has stated that Juventus have agreed to sell Stephen Appiah to Fenerbache for £5.7m.
The midfielder, who has also been linked with the Premiership, will now have to decide whether to accept the move to Turkey.
In other transfer news, Palermo are expected to sign Fabrizio Miccoli from Juventus following his return to Turin via Fiorentina.
