Inter ‘agree’ Grosso deal Monday 5 June, 2006

Palermo’s Fabio Grosso looks almost certain to be playing for Inter next season after the two clubs met this morning.
Although neither outfit have made an official statement, it is widely believed that an agreement has been reached.
Inter owner Massimo Moratti encountered Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini where he agreed to pay around £4m and hand over youngster Hernan Pablo Dellafiore, who spent last season on loan at Treviso, as part of the deal.
The Nerazzurri were in need of a left-back after Giuseppe Favalli joined Milan and Werder Bremen netted Pierre Wome.
Grosso is widely considered as one of the best attacking defenders in Italy and is a part of Marcello Lippi’s World Cup squad.
The 29-year-old has been at the Stadio Barbera since he left Perugia for Sicily in January 2004. |
