Kuyt: It's United's title
Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt feels United will go on to be worthy Premiership champions after their smash-and-grab win at Anfield.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side rode their luck against the Merseysiders, but Dutch international Kuyt is adamant that if the Reds do reclaim the title it will be richly deserved.
"It may hurt to say it as a Liverpool player, but they are going to do it on merit," he said on Saturday. "Today was really unbelievable, but it doesn't alter the fact that they will be worthy champions.
"They have shown throughout the season that they are the best. They were lucky today, but, if you are going to be champions, you need a bit of that along the way.
"It looks like they are going to do it, and they deserve it for what they have done so far."
Kuyt reserved special praise for United's wealth of attacking talent, despite their relatively quiet afternoon at Anfield.
"You have to admire their attacking flair, particularly Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, who can both turn a match in a split second," he said.
"Henrik Larsson has been quality as well. In fact, you can pick out five or six who fit into that category."
